In Hunsrück, near Moselle, Eifel & Trier

For tourists, the Heidenburger Hof is in a quiet location close to many popular holiday regions. The rolling hills, valleys, cliffs and streams of the Hunsrück, with its beautiful walking trails, are within walking distance. The breathtaking vineyards of the Moselle are only a few minutes away by car. The Eifel region with its castles and volcanoes is also close by. The farm is also close to Trier, Germany’s oldest city with a Roman heritage.

Hunsrück

For visitors, the Hunsrück region offers beautiful walking trails marked by rushing streams, rocky outcrops and deep valleys.

Mosel

The Moselle Valley, with its steep vineyards, is not only beautiful, but also enjoys a worldwide reputation for its Riesling wines. Some consider it almost on a par with the French wine region of Burgundy.

The Eifel is slightly higher than the Hunsrück. It has ancient volcanic craters, medieval castles and rolling hills.

Trier

Trier is steeped in history. Celts, Romans, Germanic tribes, Alemanni, powerful medieval archbishops and Napoleon, to name but a few, have all left their mark. The landmark of the city is the Porta Nigra, the ancient black gate of the city.
